TCD
A TCD test uses ultrasound waves to measure the blood flow rate and direction in the main (cerebral) arteries of the brain. more

The electroencephalogram (EEG) is a medical test used to measure the electrical activity of the brain, via electrodes applied to your scalp. more

CDS
Carotid Doppler ultrasound scanning is a painless way to show the amount of blood flow in the carotid arteries on each side of the neck your neck that carry blood to the head. more

Stroke
A stroke or brain attack occurs when blood flow to an area of the brain is interrupted by a blocked or broken blood vessel. more

Transcient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) are episodes of temporary and focal cerebral dysfunction of vascular origin, rapid in onset, variable in duration, commonly lasting from two to fifteen minutes but by definition no longer than 24 hours. more

Research
Acute Stroke
The goal is to demonstrate the efficacy of a study drug on disability and neurological recovery of a patient who experienced an acute ischemic stroke. more
Stroke Prevention
Our study trial is geared toward the prevention of further complications such as venous thromboembolism due to ischemic stroke. more
Genetic Contribution to Stroke
A study of sibling pairs with stroke to systematically screen for regions of the human genome that contain genes which increase the risk of having an ischemic stroke. more
